The story behind "Rewind Me" is how I feel when I look back at all my mistakes I've made in my life and often wonder what would happen if I just rewound myself and did it all over again. Would I be the same person? If not, what would change?
I also think that a lot of people will find this song, as well as the EP to be a general look back at connecting with our younger selves and just sitting in awe and what we've become.
lyrics
Spent all day looking at comic books
Spent all day watching TV
Spent all day playing video games
What in the world is wrong with me?
I've spent most of my life in and out of class
Sometimes I just sit here and thing to myself
"Where did I go wrong?"
Was it the video games?
Was it the social anxiety?
Was it the need to fit in?
Or "feel like me" ?
I don't know about all of that
But how did I end up here?
Sometimes I just feel like a broke guitar
Or a broke VCR (Hey, that rhymed)
So, rewind me
Rewind me
Bring me back to the beginning of my life
So I can figure out...
If it was the video games
If it was the social anxiety
If it was the need to fit in
Or feel like me
That way I can look back on my life
And when I say my last goodbyes
I'll probably say something nice
